New Speakers Added to Line-Up

New speakers have been announced for the Emergence Creative Festival 2017, with more to be announced soon. The festival will run from Wednesday March 29 to Saturday April 1 in the Margaret River Region.

Joining the line-up will be:

Jennifer Sullivan (LA)
President, MemBrain, LLC
Jennifer Sullivan is an award-winning brand visionary with experience in licensing, product development, integrated marketing programs, digital technologies, entertainment marketing and national promotions.

Jennifer’s career has spanned licensing and consumer marketing programs for a wide range of companies – from emerging brands to the world’s largest retail, entertainment, technology and packaged goods companies. Jennifer’s clients have included some of the world’s largest brands including McDonald’s, Burger King, Kellogg’s, Vivendi Universal Games, Kraft Foods, Toys “R” Us and many others.

Jennifer joined memBrain as President in 2010 and is currently at the helm of a broad range of global projects for Intel, McDonald’s, UBS, Hasbro, Logitech and others. Jennifer is also founder and editor-in-chief for memBrain’s monthly magazine The STORM Report, tracking up-and-coming music artists and trends in the music industry on behalf of a high profile list of global industry subscribers.

Malinda Wink (AUS)
Executive Director, Good Pitch Australia & Shark Island Institute
Malinda is the Executive Director of Good Pitch Australia, which has raised more than $14 million since 2014 in philanthropic grants for the funding of 19 social impact documentaries and their impact campaigns.

Shark Island Institute is the non-profit philanthropic arm of Shark Island Productions. Key philanthropic initiatives include Good Pitch Australia, The ARTSLAB in Kangaroo Valley and Documentary Australia Foundation.

Malinda has advised on business and strategic planning for a number of production and distribution companies including Madman, Hopscotch, Transmission, and Revlover. She has served as a mentor for pitch and impact workshops including Sundance Institute Documentary Film Program, GP South East Asia, GP Miami, Dokumenter Yogyakarta, on the jury of Antenna and Environment Film Festivals, and a number of advisory boards including the Social Enterprise World Forum and AIDC.

In 2016 Malinda was recognised as one of the Australian Financial Review / Westpac 100 Women of Influence.

Anna Laverty (AUS)
Music Producer/Mixer/Engineer/Writer
Melbourne based Producer/Mixer/Engineer/Writer Anna Laverty cut her teeth at London’s Miloco Studios alongside multi-award winning producers Paul Epworth (Adele) and Ben Hillier (Blur), working on records for Florence and The Machine, Depeche Mode and Bloc Party amongst others.

With an ever increasing list of credits to her name, Anna has been behind the desk for the critically acclaimed Peep Tempel album “Tales”, as vocal engineer for Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds’ “Push The Sky Away”, Cut Copy’s “Free Your Mind”, and Producing Ruby Boots’ much lauded debut album “Solitude”.

Amongst many other things 2016 saw Anna Produce a track for Courtney Barnett, travel to Alice Springs to Produce the latest Desert Divas compilation album for Music NT and take charge on more recording for Peep Tempel on their highly anticipated third album, while also digging in with Dallas Frasca on a new EP.

Jennifer, Malinda and Anna will join Matt Eastwood (NYC), Jens Hertzum (NZ), Rodney Glick (Ubud) and Angus Kingsmill (Sydney) in Margaret River this March for the fifth instalment of the Emergence Creative Festival.
