An inspring on-location shoot for photogrpahers, filmmakers and drone-pilots at the stunning and raw Wilyabrup Cliffs.

Working with Mick Dempsey from Margaret River Climbing Co. our 'subjects' (musicians) will be hoisted over the side of the cliffs to create a shoot like no other!

Following the Cliffs CO~LAB, come back to Riverzedge for a glass of wine for an intimate Q&A with photographers Russell James, Jarrad Seng, Ian & Erick Regnard and Russell Ord.

In a digital age, where reality TV is dying and everyone is following their favorite celebrity on social media, how do we keep integrity when we want to get real on screen? Where do the lines blur between reality and fiction? In this workshop, experiment with moving beyond classical film making, and in to an authentic reality on camera.

Using Sherlock: The Network as an example, this session explores delivering both a creative and commercial promise through clever use of narrative and pricing. It looks at how the opening narrative inserted the player into the game in a consistent and meaningful manner; considers the tools used to tie in the story world, and how the games and content were developed. The end product created was an 'interactive narrative': a linear story within an interactive experience. The sessions also looks at how the commercial promise was delivered- including the importance of brand, fan-base and rewards as well as pricing strategies.

When Nick designed the cover artwork for The Prodigy's most recent album it took him 166 different ideas before he nailed the image. In this hands on session, Nick will go over some of the techniques and methods used to hunt down a killer idea and how to turn it into an iconic design. To demonstrate this we'll be designing artwork for an album cover. For a yet to be decided upon band... In under 2 hours... With beer... What could possibly go wrong?

Exploring the latest developments in Virtual Reality, Motion Capture and Immersive Filmmaking Visual Effects Artist Mike Dunn will lead a hands on session in which he shares his experiences and demonstrates how he uses these emerging technologies in his work The session will include; • Demonstration of full body real-time wireless motion capture and visualisation with Oculus Rift HMD • Demonstration of 360° video capture and post processing pipeline. Techniques for rig removal will also be demonstrated. • Integration into Unreal Engine and Unity3d real-time rendering engines. • Retargeting motion capture data to 3d characters for visualization in realtime. • The use of photogrammetry to reconstruct 3d environments.
